Within the last years the open source operating system Linux has extended its application areas far beyond servers, smartphones, and tablets and has found its way into the automotive industry. In fact, Linux is currently powering infotainment systems, head-up displays and connected car systems for renowned OEMs worldwide like Toyota, Nissan, and Jaguar Land Rover.
